From the battlefield of faith, we salute your spirit—thank you for visiting Christ’s Soldiers! Were taking a pause from our series run to get this inspired message out to the saints, Amen!

The First Veil Torn: Heaven Speaks at the Cross:

The temple in Jerusalem was no ordinary building. It was the earthly shadow of heavenly realities, patterned after what Moses saw on the mount (Hebrews 8:5). Its inner sanctuary — the Holy of Holies — was hidden behind a thick veil, a curtain so massive that Jewish historians said it took hundreds of priests to manipulate. That veil represented the separation between God and man, holiness and sin, life and death.

When Christ hung upon the cross, the Gospels tell us: “And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent” (Matthew 27:51). Notice: it tore from top to bottom — not by human hands, but by divine decree. Heaven itself testified that through the blood of Jesus, access was made available directly to the Father. No more priestly intermediaries, no more sacrifices of bulls and goats. The true Lamb of God had opened the way.

That first tearing of the veil was both shocking and liberating. Yet Satan, the father of lies, began almost immediately to re-stitch false veils; through religion without Christ, through philosophies of men, and through the rise of counterfeit systems that once again placed barriers between humanity and God. The first veil torn was an invitation — but the enemy has since tried to cover the view again.

The Second Veil Awaiting: Seeing in Full:

The apostle Paul wrote with remarkable honesty: “For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face” (1 Corinthians 13:12). Despite the cross, despite the Spirit dwelling in us, there still remains a veil upon our eyes — not the old temple veil, but a cosmic one.

Even for the saints, mysteries remain. We glimpse, we taste, we discern in part, but the fullness of what is to come has not yet been revealed. The second veil is the veil of limited sight — the dim glass of mortal perception.

One day, when Christ returns in glory, that veil will also be torn. All things hidden shall be revealed. All lies shall be exposed. And the true, eternal realities will blaze before us. John saw this moment in Revelation when he declared: “And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True” (Revelation 19:11). Heaven’s opening is the tearing of that final veil.

The Veil of the Nations: Lies that Blind the World:

But what of now? What of the current hour? Paul declared that “the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not” (2 Corinthians 4:4). That blinding is another veil — one woven of lies, culture, politics, and counterfeit spirituality.

Today the nations sit beneath a dark covering. They call evil good and good evil. They elevate man above God, science above Scripture, and politics above righteousness. Their altars are no longer in temples of stone but in laboratories, stadiums, stock exchanges, and digital networks. These are the false veils that keep humanity from beholding the unveiled glory of Christ.

The prophets foresaw this deception. Isaiah spoke of “a covering cast over all people, and the veil that is spread over all nations” (Isaiah 25:7). But he also foresaw its destruction: “He will destroy in this mountain the face of the covering cast over all people”. That day is coming — when Christ rips away the second veil.

The Cosmic Unveiling: Prophecy Fulfilled:

Revelation unveils what awaits: a beast rising from the sea, empowered by the dragon. An image erected, speaking, demanding worship. A mark upon the hand or forehead. These are not just political systems or economic mechanisms; they are veils woven by hell to trap souls in false loyalty.

But even as these deceptions rise, the Book of Revelation points us to the final unveiling: the heavens opening, the Lamb returning, the new Jerusalem descending. Every veil will be gone. Every secret revealed. Every hidden thing shouted from the rooftops. And the kingdoms of this world shall become the kingdoms of our Lord and His Christ (Revelation 11:15).

Standing in Awe: The Torn Veil and the Final Vision:

The first veil torn at Calvary brought salvation and access. The second veil still before our eyes — awaits tearing at Christ’s return. Until then, we live in the tension of seeing in part, striving in faith, fighting through the false veils Satan spreads across the nations.

But make no mistake: the veil will not hold. Christ is coming. The final unveiling will leave no room for lies, no shadows for Satan to hide, no coverings to blind the nations. Only truth, blazing eternal. When readers stand before that moment, they will understand: every deception, every false altar, every demonic scheme was but a temporary veil — and the Lamb who was slain has already guaranteed it’s tearing.

 Author’s Note:

‘Friends, this essay, The Veil Torn Twice, was written as both a meditation and a declaration. It is meant to leave the reader in awe — not of the words themselves, but of the God who acts in history, in heaven, and in the hearts of His people.

When the veil of the temple tore at Christ’s crucifixion, the world changed forever. Heaven declared that no barrier of ritual, religion, or tradition could block the way into God’s presence. Yet, in our human frailty, we still see only dimly.

We are surrounded by veils — the lies of politics, the blindness of false science, the glittering illusions of culture. The nations walk under coverings that blind them to the truth. My friends, this is the war of our age.

But the second veil will not last. Just as the first was torn by the hand of God, the second will also fall when Christ appears in glory. This tearing will reveal the truth of all things: the nature of eternity, the exposure of lies, and the justice of God upon the nations. What was hidden will be shouted. What was secret will be unveiled. And the redeemed will see Him face to face.

Why write such a piece? Because readers need to be reminded that history is not random. The fabric of deception Satan weaves is temporary. The covering he casts upon the nations is fragile compared to the hand of the One who will rip it apart in a single moment. My prayer is that those who read these words will lift their eyes in faith, knowing the veil is already condemned to tearing. Christ has made the way — and soon, all eyes shall see Him.

God bless you!
